Privacy policy

How RoadToKorea handles visitor information, cookies and advertising technology.

Effective date: 17 August 2026. RoadToKorea collects only information needed to operate the site, understand aggregate readership, prevent abuse and respond to messages. Email messages are used to answer the sender and manage corrections; they are not sold.

The hosting provider may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps and security logs to deliver and protect the site. RoadToKorea may use aggregated analytics to understand which guides are useful.

If Google AdSense is enabled, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device identifiers or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Depending on location and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Google explains its use of data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where consent is legally required, advertising and non-essential analytics cookies will not be activated until the visitor makes a choice through the available consent controls. Visitors can also control or delete cookies through their browser and manage Google advertising preferences at myadcenter.google.com.

External links lead to services with their own privacy practices. RoadToKorea does not control the data collection of transport operators, tourism offices or map services reached through those links.

Privacy questions or deletion requests concerning information sent directly to RoadToKorea can be emailed to sawjyjm@gmail.com. This policy will be updated when analytics, advertising or other data-processing services materially change.
